ABOUT EVOKE
Founded by Stacy Sopher, Evoke Dance Movement was built with the vision of creating a positive, inspiring space where students, teachers, and families can come together to share a disciplined, respectful, and heartfelt dance experience.
With award winning Creative Directors Courtney Barclay and Trevor Lerma, alongside some of the most accomplished instructors in the industry, Evoke has cultivated one of the most dynamic teaching staffs available today. Our faculty provides top-tier training across multiple genres including contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, ballet, modern, musical theatre, acro, ballroom, and more. Dancers receive consistent, high-level instruction that balances both artistry and technique.
At Evoke, we recognize that every dancer has their own journey. That is why we offer multiple training tracks, whether a dancer’s focus is technical growth, competition, or performance opportunities.
Our mission is to empower dancers to push beyond their potential. We emphasize proper training, conventions, master classes, and industry opportunities that prepare students for auditions and careers in dance. While competition is not our primary focus, we support the competitive experience as a valuable tool for growth, performance development, and industry readiness.
Our facility features four spacious studios ranging from 1,150 to 2,600 square feet. Each is equipped with raised hardwood floors, full-length mirrors, natural lighting, and customizable mood lighting. Two of our studios are also equipped for tap and ballroom training, providing versatility for every style.
Evoke Dance Movement is more than a studio. It is a community, a family, and a home for dancers to explore their passion, refine their craft, and discover their unique voice in movement.
If you are looking for something different and a dance experience that will encourage you to dance beyond your potential then Evoke is for you. Evoke's emphasis is on proper instruction, conventions, master classes, and industry audition opportunities. While the focus is not on competitions we do support the competition experience to give our dancers a competitive edge in the industry audition process.
