John Mays

John Mays is a professional dancer living in Los Angeles. He began his dance training in Russian ballet at a young age in his home town of Portland, Oregon. His love of the art form led him quickly to commercial dance styles, and by age 12 he was training and competing in all styles, including tap. John is a member of the Hollywood Vibe Company, where he tours nationally, performing and assisting. In 2022, John was honored as the Senior National Dancer of the Year for Hollywood Vibe, and he is now one of their pro-assistant dancers. John has been a scholarship winner for many other competitive events, and was an invited member of the “Beat Squad” for Break The Floor.

John can be seen on the television comedy “CHAD” on TBS, as well as in a recent Xbox commercial for Microsoft, where he starred as a motion capture figurine. Most recently, you can find him tap dancing in the newest Mini Cooper commercial, seen on multiple platforms. In addition to his work, John continues to develop his career with goals of working on Broadway, touring with major musical artists, and educating the next generation of dancers.
